Are you buggin’ ?
Remember kids – if your computer room is kind of chilly just fire up some benchmarking software! Stress testing a system is a sure fire way to heat up a room.
Works like a charm!
Blog registering is re-enabled for blog post comments. Please take note that blog registration is not the same as forum registration and are separate.
Changed the website format to match Across as more of a community than just an Aion legion. Added forum content section for Star Wars as well. Further tweaks coming.
*EDIT*
Forums have been pruned, if your account on the forums is gone please re-register. Nothing personal, your account was probably just inactive and I had alot of spam accounts to wade through. Also added a new captcha for registering to the forums so hopefully we’ll have less spam. New forum features as well as the software has been updated.
Added new authors to the Across blog, can’t wait to see how that works out.
Actually, things are going all right at the moment. I think the idea of Across staying low profile got lost with all the attempted organizing and trolling over the last few weeks, months, years, whatever, but what are you going to do? Speaking of years Across is two years old! Holy crap! Not too bad for a legion of inactive baddies. Let’s take a moment and think about all the legions whom are no longer here with us, try not to snicker.
So we’re finally working with RK9 again on equal ground. It’s great but it means as long as we do this both legions need to keep working their asses off to hold on to what we want and to take what we want. I’d say our alignment is chaotic neutral if anything, but it’s coming down to the point that we’re probably going to have to piss off those who aren’t working directly with us in order to secure our own interests. What that may turn out to be in the long run is still up in the air. You were warned.
Money has gotten tight for me personally, not having a reoccurring pay check has finally started to become an issue. So I’ve been putting out applications almost everywhere for work hours that are completely open. Hopefully whatever I land has reasonable hours, if not I’ll be looking for people to step up and stand in for me if the situation arises.
So here’s the application for legion leadership:
Must be ready to put up with the most trivial of drama, try not to pick sides, and become the new central nexus of unreasonable drama because you won’t pick sides.
Must be ready to defend the stupidest of actions no matter how foreseeable the retarded results might have been.
No perks, if you find any perks you’re doing it wrong and are probably stealing from or exploiting someone.
Must help anyone and everyone and be polite no matter how involved you are with trying to enjoy the game for yourself.
Must be able to convince yourself that shit sandwiches taste great!
You must never freak out about repeating yourself 50+ times to answer the same question.
Telling everyone else to shut up is a necessary evil; if you can’t bring yourself to that then this isn’t for you.
It doesn’t matter how much they offend and disgust you, other legions leaders are still people in the end, which means they can still die.
Dedication, even if you think you’ll vomit your spleen if you have to sit down and run a pug dredge one more time you still need to check in and make sure people are organized for whatever poorly planned event everyone wants to do, it’s up to you to make it happen and make sure it goes well!
If you can follow this and aren’t too concerned about finding blood in your stool from the bleeding stress ulcers in your stomach please get back to me!

So we’ve got a bunch of members from Break. Just to quickly go over a few things; Alts in legion are okay as long as you’re fairly active with them, all we ask is that you use the self intro option in the legion tab on your alt and set it to the name of your main toon so we can do a quick reference just in case we could use you on your main or on your alt.
If you’re inactive for more than 3 weeks (21 days) without notice we’ll boot from legion, just make a quick post on our forums that you’re getting shipped out/moving/vacation and you’ll be good.
Medals! Right now since we’re not holding a fort we’re trying to be conservative with what we have. Whatever the AP item’s medal cost the legion will spot 25% of medal cost. You will receive your cut of legion medals when you have the AP and the other half of the medals to purchase your AP item. Naturally we’d like our members to be in legion and active for a few weeks before taking advantage of this program.
Once Across is finished taking in the rest of Break I’d like to hold a conversation about upper forts and over all motivation. Across has only held one mandatory upper fort siege and that was for Divine. This game is on your dime and your enjoyment. I can’t and won’t force people to do something they have no interest in. I can be persuasive and annoying about it, but I won’t force you. Forts are a pain in the ass, you make your playtime scheduled around them, and sometimes you can work your ass off and get your fort taken by the asmos with a last second push, and the worst – THE ABSOLUTE WORST – is when we have the forts and there’s no action at all for the entire hour or days or even weeks… that and other legions you’ve never heard of bitching about medal distribution.
I’d also like to know if our members have any expectations or suggestions on legion activities or raids.
Any questions or anything else please contact Excel in game or on teamspeak!
